August 16th 2009 - Margaret and Mark's Sunday Record Breaker!

This was one of the most fun days we have had all summer gathering a total of 26 British cars in one place in Hants County, Nova Scotia. Another Guinness Book of World Records holder!

Over 50 members gathered at the Bond's Farm in Ardoise to enjoy a HOT Sunday afternoon with a quartet playing great music in the background as we all acted like recycled teenagers trying to see how many we could stuff into Margaret's new Mini. The women outbeat the men by quite a few. The food was excellent and the hat contest was a winner for Lynn Gray in a beautiful flower pot hat! Well done Lynn.

All in all, a very enjoyable day with good friends and excellent food and a great big "Thank You" to the Bond's for letting us invade their lovely home.

The British cars were all corralled for the afternoon! Notice a German invader amongst them?

In the shade

The only way to keep cool was under the shade of the old oak tree!

More relaxing in the cooler shade, but not much cooler.

The only cool spots were under the trees!

Girly hats!

Mini men

So how many men can you stuff into a Mini? Exactly 10! A tight fit but they did it. Now how did the women do? Look below!

Mini Women

Well the women outdid the men by 4 for a total of 14! Way to go BATANS women!

It was a great day for everyone. Lots of laughs with good friends and some excellent food.
