Eleven couples gathered at White Point Beach Resort outside Liverpool Jan. 23rd to 25th for a weekend of relaxation, eating and reminiscing about BATANS tours of the last year with good company.
Members started rolling into the Annex Friday afternoon followed by a Happy Hour (or two) before dinner at the lodge. In the evening we rearranged the Annex into theatre seating so we could watch various videos including an excellent one on England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland as well as one on the British Automobile industry from its beginnings to the 70's.
Saturday was a day of leisure and everyone did their own thing like touring downtown Liverpool, walking on the beach, swimming in their pool or doing nothing which is what the weekend is all about. We were joined by new members Brian and Wendy Norton who have MGA's under restoration. In the evening, we were wowed by Nancy Cleveland's newest and memorable 30 minute DVD video (complete with hilarious notations) of the clubs 2008 events. She spends many hours creating this excellent video and if you wish to have a copy, please contact Nancy.
Sadly, all good things must come to an end we all reluctantly headed home by noon Sunday but look forward to doing this again next year. Here are some highlights from the weekend as seen through the lens of Nancy Cleveland's camera.
